Occhio Optometry

Our clients needed more space for their optometry store so we helped them transform a standard strip mall retail space into it’s bright spot. Our scope included remodel design, graphic design coordination and interior decor.

After receiving the architect’s layout, we selected all of the finishes, the light fixtures and we designed all of the built-in custom cabinetry. Storage was critical so we integrated full length mirrored cabinet doors with lower cabinet storage in the eyewear display system.

When working with a graphic designer to update the logo and branding, we also incorporated custom social media hashtags onto the mirrors and windows throughout the space. Clients can stand in front of eyeglasses decals to “try them on” and share on social media along with their newly purchased glasses.

We also collaborated with a local artists and local craftsman. Seattle artist, Greg Boudreau, created a half circle art piece and painted it like an iris. We placed this next to a mirrored wall to reflect a full circle. The unexpected statement catches the attention of passersby and younger clients have created a fun memory by calling it “the dinosaur eye”. We commissioned the custom optician table from a local woodworker which we designed to make eye fitting easy and comfortable for both clients and the optician.

The new bright Occhio Optometry is welcoming and functional. It’s updated look welcomes new and existing clients alike.
